Job Summary
Made possible by a five year grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), NAMI NH is hiring a Project Coordinator (PC) to implement Project deliverables as indicated in the work plan and ensuring work is consistent with the goals of the NH Suicide Prevention Plan and the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. The PC will work closely with Project partners, key stakeholders, and collaborators; and will assist with the development and implementation of community-based suicide prevention protocols.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all activities related to the Project
- Maintains relationships with project partners and key stakeholders
- Collects data and narratives and report on the Project to SAMHSA and supervisor
- Attends all national and regional grant related meetings as required
- Presents/reports on the Project at appropriate state and national venues
- Maintains interface with Project Evaluators and oversight on Project data
- Conducts training and postvention outreach as needed
- Maintains knowledge of best practices in suicide prevention and related fields
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge in suicide prevention, mental health and substance abuse field
- Minimum of three years in project management
- Experience as an effective trainer and with community organizing
- Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Personal Qualities: Demonstrated commitment to the field of suicide prevention; cultural and professional sensitivity to individuals who have had direct experience with suicide
Work Schedule: Generally works Monday through Friday with occasional requirements to attend evening and weekend events. Local and limited national travel required.
